Sorry Harry Potter fans. Snitch is not a film about the popular wizarding sport of Quidditch, but instead is a high flying action thriller that will star Dwayne Johnson. Although The Rock would probably make a great keeper since he’s so gigantic.

Deadline has this casting news and a pretty minimal plot detail: "[Johnson] plays a working class guy who risks everything to save his son, who is falsely imprisoned." Long-time stunt man Ric Roman Waugh is continuing his shift into the director’s chair, currently producing Bobby Martinez, following up his fairly well-received direct to DVD film, Felon. He’ll also be rewriting the script originally written by Justin Haythe of Revolutionary Road fame.

If you just can’t get enough of what The Rock is cooking, look for Fast Five when it hits theaters April 29th, or simply start watching WWE again as the wrestler turned actor is making a return to his roots. More on Snitch as it comes to us.
