Dwayne Johnson Opens Up A Little About Sixth Fast And Furious Film![]()
Dwayne Johnson needs to slow down. Days after the actor formerly known as The Rock confirmed he’d be playing a character named Roadblock in a planned G.I. Joe sequel, Johnson talked up the next installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, of which Rock is now a member.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the action hero said he’s “sure” that the writing team behind the financially successful Fast Five ($571 million at the global box office) was “writing away” on part six. While hardly a verbal commitment that the sequel will be in theaters any time soon, Johnson’s positive language does lead us to believe that yet another Fast will roar into multiplexes sometime soon, and that Rock will be a part of the fun. Then again, most of that could have been deduced by the post-credits spoiler shot at the end of Fast FiveFast probably became inevitable the minute Justin Lin’s sequel cross the half-billion mark at the box office. Now if Rock can just kick Cobra Commander’s butt and be done with that silly G.I. Joe franchise, he can get back on Vin Diesel and Paul Walker’s trail post haste. |
