You’d think getting an Oscar nomination for a dramatic role might prompt Eddie Murphy to consider more serious projects. Well forget it. He’s doing more comedies. Variety says the latest being considered by Eddie is a Paramount comedy called NowhereLand. With a name like that, it had better be good. Critics love a bad pun.
Written by Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, the movie will cast Murphy as a financial executive whose career falls apart when he starts losing confidence. Rather than buy a bottle of Viagra like the rest of us, he finds the answers to his problems in an imaginary fantasy world created by his daughter.
NowhereLand is supposed to be Eddie’s next movie after his next movie. Before he can do it, he’s still doing Starship Dave and this summer you’ll hear him as the voice of Donkey in Shrek the Third.
