Elizabeth Banks Confirmed, District 4 Tributes Added To Hunger Games Cast![]()
There are still a few important and interesting characters left to be cast in The Hunger Games, namely alcoholic former champion Haymitch (a role John C. Reilly has apparently not actually been offered) and stylist Cinna. But with Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson set for the three lead roles, and Elizabeth Banks now confirmed for the key role of Effie Trinket, the casting we're getting is a little obscure for the moment.
Case in point: today's THR article announcing that Ethan Jamieson and Tara Macken are the latest young actors cast as tributes who will fight in the Hunger Games-- except they're playing the District 4 tributes, who, well, let's just say they're not even around long enough to get names. Sorry if that's a spoiler, but given that 24 tributes are sent to fight in the games, there's not exactly time even in the book to get to know everybody. As for the actors, Jamieson has exactly one credit to his name on IMDB-- playing "Kid 2" on an episode of One Tree Hill, and Macken is a stunt performer who also recently appeared as Luisa on Sons of Anarchy. |
