Emile Hirsch Signs On For Oliver Stone's Savages![]()
It was just last night that Oliver Stone's Savages made three huge acquisitions, signing on Uma Thurman, John Travolta and Blake Lively. Considering that the film already includes the likes of Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, Salma Hayek and Benicio Del Toro, the additions could be seen as merely a bonus, but today the movie has added yet another talented actor.
Variety reports that Emile Hirsch has signed on for an unspecified role in Stone's newest film. Based on the book by Don Winslow, the film is about two marijuana dealers in Laguna Beach that begin stealing from a cartel that kidnapped their female friend in order to pay the ransom. Scheduled to go into production this summer, Universal will distribute the movie next year. Though he isn't exactly what you'd call box office gold, Hirsch is an immensely talented actor who has a really bright future ahead of him. He's been working with some truly great directors as of late, including Ang Lee, Gus Van Sant, and William Friedkin, so it will be interesting to see what Oliver Stone is able to get out of him. |
