Emma Stone Is Signed On For Multiple Spider-Man Movies![]()
Those familiar with the Spider-Man comic books know that the Stacy family isn't exactly what you would call "lucky." In fact, both characters are probably known best for the time that they kicked the bucket. There's already been some suggestion about what happens to George Stacy, played by Denis Leary, (don't click that link if you don't want to be spoiled!), but now there seems to be some suggestion that Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, will make it out alive.
Last night, Stone appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno where she talked about her upcoming role in Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot. In discussing her new blonde locks - which have replaced the red ones that we have all learned to know and love - Stone revealed that she may have to keep her hair that color for a while because of sequels: “There’s a few Spider-Men, so I may have to keep it for a couple of years.” Of course, this could simply be an attempt to throw off the audience so that we don't expect it when the young Ms. Stacy dies, but here's the truth: if you have an actress like Emma Stone in a movie that is prepping to become a new franchise, you don't kill off her character in the first film. Sure, eventually they'll have to make way for Mary Jane Watson, the true love of Peter Parker's life, but if you have such an awesome actress hanging around, you don't waste her (both literally and figuratively). |
