Now that the last cinematic chapter of the Harry Potter franchise has drawn to a close, we can start obsessing over the kids' next projects. Daniel Radcliffe will continue to entertain Broadway crowds until his ghost story The Woman In Black reaches theaters next year. Rupert Grint recently wrapped Comrade. And Emma Watson has My Week With Marilyn, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and a brand new project that should draw a ton of heat from the film community.

That’s because the former Hermione may topline a new production of Beauty and the Beast, with the great Guillermo del Toro somehow involved. ComingSoon got the scoop from producer Denise Di Novi, who was talking to press in New York City on behalf of her upcoming comedy Crazy Stupid Love and mentioned that del Toro and Watson would collaborate on an adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

It’s unclear, though, whether the Pan’s Labyrinth helmer would write, produce, direct or handle all three. If we were to guess, it would be that del Toro would produce this Beast, as he’s about to dive head first into Pacific Rim, a massive monster movie with Idris Elba and Horrible Bosses star Charlie Day. So if he were to direct Beast with Watson in the role of Belle, it likely would be years before the picture ever started. But with del Toro producing and, we hope, serving as a creative consultant, this version could get off the ground much quicker.

Given the current craze of fair tale adaptations, with dueling Snow White features and a rumored Little Mermaid that would go darker than normal, this one automatically moves to the top of out want-to-see list … if it happens.
