Empire Magazine Scans Reveal Closer Looks At Avatars
If you went to Avatar Day last Friday, you already got a fairly long look at the avatar for Sigourney Weaver's character and the Na'vi played by Zoe Saldana. But in case you want to keep gazing into their yellow eyes and examining their blue skin, Market Saw has scans from the newest issue of Empire Magazine, which boasts an Avatar cover story and lots of new images.
I still maintain that the Avatar characters aren't that impressive in photo form, and you really have to see them move and interact with their environment. Still, if you're willing to suspend cynicism and just appreciate how truly realistic these characters look, the magazine scans are worth a peek. Two of them, the ones with Weaver and Saldana's characters, are below, with the rest available at Market Saw. They point out over there that, since Na'vi age slower than humans, Weaver's Avatar looks much younger than she does. The more you know! ![]() ![]() |
