Ernie Hudson Says Bill Murray Is Holding Up Ghostbusters 3
Weíve always kind of known this, but itís nice to finally have definitive proof that it is in fact Bill Murray that is the road block between us and Ghostbusters 3. Rumors have flown around like trashed newspapers in the wind, but from the mouth of Winston Zeddemore himself, we for sure can throw some blame on Bill Murray, which no doubt will keep him from ever wanting to do this project.
In an interview with Movie Mikeís, Ernie Hudson let slip that Bill Murray is holding out on Ghostbusters 3 because it doesnít quite meet his standards just yet.
Billís a great guy, heís kind of quirky but I love him. Heís a guy who is very much into what heís feeling. I know he really cares about his work, which is probably why there hasnít been another Ghostbusters as of yet. Dan and Harold are working on the script. If it happens we will see but Bill has been the hold up. His definition of good is a little bit different than everybody elses. So we will see, I would love to see it happen. I know the fans have been asking for itÖso hopefully.
Itís understandable that Murray would wait for there to be a great script before signing on the dotted line, but the man is notoriously picky so he may have too high of hopes for GB3. Regardless, it would seem that this movie is going to happen with or without him as proven by recent casting considerations, but we know which one of those options would make for a better movie.
So if youíre reading this, Bill Murray, please go for it and trust that your good friends Dan and Harold wonít lead you astray. We, collectively as a community of fans of the original series, canít wait to see you back in action.
