Evan Rachel Wood Flirts With Ryan Gosling In Clip From The Ides Of March
When you look like Ryan Gosling, you're already pretty much guaranteed to be on top of the world. But when you look like Ryan Gosling AND you're the speechwriter for one of the most promising Presidential candidates in the Democratic primary? Well, you're so on top of the world that girls who look like Evan Rachel Wood pretty much can't help but throw themselves at you. In this new clip from The Ides of March, the political drama directed by George Clooney, Wood's character, an intern for the campaign, stops by Gosling's office and oh-so-smoothly invites him out for a drink. Her name is Molly, but as you'll see in the clip, Gosling isn't quite smooth enough to remember it. Take a look below.
Unlike in his first directorial effort, Good Night and Good Luck, Clooney is also taking an onscreen role here, playing the Presidential candidate that Gosling and Wood's characters both work for. As if that weren't enough starpower as it is, the cast is rounded out by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and Marisa Tomei. The Ides of March is one of the many films that will make the festival circuit this fall in advance of inevitable Oscar attention-- it premieres this weekend at the Venice Film Festival, and will also swing through the Toronto Film Festival next month, where I'll be reviewing it. Yes, it's finally time for the good movies of the fall season to start emerging-- and this clip is proof that Ides of March is right there in the pack. |
