Even More HHG Footage![]()
I feel like I’m cheating myself out of something by watching them, but like a Star Wars nerd in possession of the Revenge of the Sith script, I just can’t help myself.
Yahoo Movies! has unveiled two more rather extended clips from the upcoming, and herby dubbed “Most Important Movie of the Year” The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Both feature in their entirety, two highly anticipated and, yes by now rather infamous scenes from the film. The first regards a sperm whale and a particularly lovely bowl of petunias created by the Heart of Gold’s improbability drive. Unfortunately for both the petunias and the whale, they were created high in the atmosphere of a planet, and soon plunge to their death. The second, is the movie’s entire first opening sequence, a musical number featuring the planet’s dolphins giving us one final hearty thanks before abandoning the planet to its fate at the hands of the bad poetry reading Vogans. If I had any willpower, I wouldn’t have watched them, preferring instead to wait for the film. But, I have none. Hopefully you have more than me. If you don’t, use the link below to spoil yourself mercilessly. If these are any judge, the movie’s going to be great. Surreal, but great.
