Exciting New Trailer For Luc Besson's French, Female Indiana Jones
With Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull falling flat on its face in 2008, the world is in need of new adventures and a new hero, or in this case heroine. The latest effort from Luc Besson brings to life Les Adventures Extrodinaire d'Adele Blanc-Sec, a French cartoon series in nine volumes by Jaques Tardi, about a fearless female adventurer.
This first in the proposed trilogy stars Louis Bourgoin as the titular Adele and her (from what I can tell) mummy sidekick trying to beat the bad guys and rid the city of a menacing pterodactyl. That's right, a 136-million-year-old pterodactyl egg housed in the local museum has hatched and broken free into the city. The kind folks over at The Playlist have gotten a hold of the second trailer for the film and it looks not only like it'll be an excellent adventure, but also like it will be all kinds of fun. The effects look great, the look and feel of the film really brings the time period to life, and even though the trailer is in French and there are no subtitles, you always seem to know when to laugh. Warning: there is about a one second shot of a woman in a bath tub and if you squint your eyes it could be considered not work safe. It's really quick, but with some of your luck your boss might be walking by your cubicle that very second and think you're porning it up. That said, bask in Luc Besson's glory below. |
