After months of huge, heavily marketed summer blockbusters full of explosions and magical incantations, I think we’re all about ready for a change of pace. I’m looking for good indie movies, and since I’ve already seen The Hurt Locker and 500 Days of Summer (and if you haven’t, make it a priority) then there’s Adam, which opens this weekend in select theaters.

It stars Hugh Dancy as a man with Asperger’s Syndrome who meet cutes with an upstairs neighbor named Beth, played by Rose Byrne.
