After months of huge, heavily marketed summer blockbusters full of explosions and magical incantations, I think we’re all about ready for a change of pace. I’m looking for good indie movies, and since I’ve already seen The Hurt Locker and 500 Days of Summer (and if you haven’t, make it a priority) then there’s Adam, which opens this weekend in select theaters.

It stars Hugh Dancy as a man with Asperger’s Syndrome who meet cutes with an upstairs neighbor named Beth, played by Rose Byrne. We have an exclusive clip from the movie, selected by the film’s producer Miranda de Pencier. This is her favorite scene and she explains exactly why in the embedded video below:
