Sundance wasn’t the only thing going on in Park City this past week. Slamdance, featuring alternative style
films, also takes place alongside the indie festival. This year Broken Lizard was on hand to show off their
new film The Slammin’ Salmon, and the guys behind Super Troopers sat with me to talk about the restaurant biz and
what goes in to making a Broken Lizard movie. It turns out the guys known for their college humor flicks
are generally a normal bunch of dudes just having fun making movies.
And they’re busy too, looking to
finish up the script for Super Troopers 2 and actually making Potfest. Potfest is alluded to at the end of Beerfest, and it was originally intended as a joke. But so many people have come up to them to ask about it that the Broken Lizard boys say, “So we’re actually giving some serious thought to it.”
The full video interview with Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, Paul Soter, Kevin Heffernan, and c is below. Word of warning, you should probably boost
up the speaker levels to get the full effect. The “full effect” is actually hearing the audio portion of the interview.
