Soul Men leaped to prominence with the tragic death of Bernie Mac, who co-stars in the film with Samuel L. Jackson. They play two former soul singers traveling across the country to get the group back for a tribute to their recently deceased band leader. From what we’ve seen in the movie’s trailers though, it looks like there could be a lot more to this movie than a sadly deceased star. It’s raunchy, rude, funny and full of life. Soul Men seems like the right kind of send off for Bernie Mac.
