You have to give Warner Brothers some serious credit for this, taking what could've been another unneccessary but watchable sequel and scrapping it and starting over as a cheap horror flick.

The new teaser trailer for Exorcist: The Beginning is a testament to this decision. It is rather poor. I have nothing more to say at this time. Go look for yourself.

Exorcist: The Beginning opens . Incidentally, the subsequent DVD release is due to feature two seperate editions comprising of this theatrical version directed by Renny "Mindhunters where are you?" Harlin and the original scrapped version directed by Paul "Wrote Taxi Driver" Schrader. Make of that what you will.
