Paperboy was seriously one of my favorite video games as a kid. That may have been because I only had about three (the others were Gallaga and whatever came packaged with the Nintendo), but either way, it was awesome, even if it didn’t make a whole lot of sense.

And it’s only a matter of time before a nostalgic game like Paperboy gets a movie adaptation. Until then, though, we can revel in the fact that the idea is novel and funny. One day, this feeling will go the way of Candyland. For now, check out this submission to the Totally Awesome Video Game Movie Frenzy competition, an adaptation of Paperboy that I think we’d all like to see. An Oscar bait version.
