People being protected by vampires in a war against zombies sounds like it could be yet another surreal fantasia cooked up on Family Guy, but that cartoon’s showrunner David A. Goodman is actually taking it a lot further. He’ll be adapting Last Blood, a graphic novel, as a feature film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Blatant Comics book finds people cowering in fear following a zombie uprising, but finding protection from vampires, who need their blood to survive. Not sure how that vampires actually protect them, given that they’re drinking their blood, but hey, stranger things have happened in comics. Goodman is also working on an remake of the 1978 movie Who Killed the Great Chefs of Europe?, but based on titles alone, it’s not hard to guess which will appeal most to Family Guy’s hardcore fans. Now let’s just hope he gets Seth MacFarlane to make a cameo with that German accent he rocked in Hellboy II.
