Austin’s annual Fantastic Fest is only two weeks away and while you were off grilling meats and lounging around over Labor Day weekend they released their third wave of fantastic films. While others jet off to Telluride or hang out with the top dogs in Toronto, I’m utterly content to hop in my car and drive over to the Alamo Drafthouse Lamar, even more so now that they’ve added more to the lineup.

You can get the complete list of new additions on their official site. Some of the most noteworthy fresh adds include Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist (aka Willem Dafoe fucks a tree!), Ninja Assassin (Rain!!!), and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant (John C. Reilly with pointy teeth!).

But I’m also sort of excited by the slate of classic films which have been added to their lineup. Master Pancake is planning a live mocking of Total Recall and they’ve added a whole series of 70s sex films from noteworthy Spanish director Jesus Franco. You’re probably not going to see those at your local megaplex any time soon.
