I’ve barely gotten into the Fast and the Furious franchise, really only experiencing Tokyo Drift, which was more like a second cousin to the other films than a part of the same franchise. The trailers for the next chapter, Fast & Furious has me intrigued, if for no other reason than they’re admitting it’s the exact same formula as the other movies, just without the “the”s, in the movie’s tagline: “New Model. Original Parts.”

MTV Movies Blog has gotten their hands on an exclusive first look at the new chapter’s poster, which I actually like quite a bit. Focus on what works for the franchise, you know? Feature the car heavily (this is about the effects first and foremost) and the cast secondarily (neither Diesel nor Walker has had a promising career lately), without making this a silly floating head thing.
