Fast Five Trailer: You're In My World Now
Most high-profile trailers debut online at Yahoo! Movies or Apple or some more traditional trailer site, but Fast Five star Vin Diesel decided to make things personal, debuting the trailer for this new film on his own Facebook page. The trailer is now live online, probably testing the strength of Facebook's servers as we speak; you can also watch it embedded in our player below.
In Fast Five Diesel's character Dominic Torretto is once again teaming up with former enemy Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) to drive fast cars and generally irritate drug lords and other bad guys. Joining the action this time is Dwayne Johnson, as a federal agent on their case; Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris also star for director Justin Lin, who is back for his third installment in the franchise. Check out the trailer below.
In the introduction Diesel promises "more action than you ever expected to see in a Fast and Furious movie," and as hard as that is to believe given how many explosions and car crashes we've seen over the years, he might be right. The trailer is pretty much nonstop squealing tires and bullets and machismo, with even the square cop Johnson is playing eventually getting advice from the ouside-the-law Diesel and Walker. Oh yeah, and the stunt they pull at the end, yanking an entire bank safe out of a wall and pulling it down the highway? Even in a franchise as action-crazy as Fast and the Furious that's setting a pretty impressive new standard.
