Fat Bastard Is An Inglorious Bastard![]()
The casting for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards has, unbelievably, just gotten even weirder. First it was director Eli Roth, then The Office’s temp B.J. Novak, and now… Mike Myers? That’s right, one of the Inglorious Bastards may also be Fat Bastard.
A site called Tarantino.info claims to have gotten confirmation from unknown sources that Myers will have some sort of small part in the film. There’s no word on exactly what part he will play, but if you’ve read the script then you know a small role could still mean he’s one of the titular Bastards since, the vast majority of the Inglorious team gets little more than a single scene. There’s no shortage of small, throwaway parts scattered throughout the film. If true, this fits with QT’s predilection for taking things which are awful and improving on them. After The Love Guru there are few things on planet Earth much worse than Mike Myers’ career. The guy definitely needs a resuscitation. Taking a part in a Tarantino film, even a small part, even if he ends up playing Hitler, can only help. Say what you want about Hitler, but at least he didn’t make The Love Guru. UPDATE! Variety has confirmed the story, and added that Myers will play British Gen. Ed Fenech, the architect of the movie's plot to wipe out all the Nazi leaders in one fell swoop. It's a very minor character, don't expect much screen time for Myers. |
