Ferrell Talks Old School And Elf Sequels

By Bryce Wilson: 2006-09-19 00:00:00
Ferrell Talks Old School And Elf Sequels Will Ferrell has been good enough to speak about two rumored sequels. First Elf 2. According to Coming Soon the nice thing is Ferrell won't have anything to do with it. "Elf 2 got killed," says Ferrell. "I killed Elf 2."

Now New Line is notorious for doing crappy sequels whether or not anyone wants to see them or have anything to do with them. If you doubt this just look at Dumb and Dumberer, or Son Of The Mask. So despite Ferrell's assurances, it doesn't quite mean we're out of the woods yet as far as a crappy sequel to Elf goes.

On Old School 2, he was somewhat more open saying "Old School 2 is apparently being written." This is hardly what I would call a ringing endorsement, but its still not a no. Personally I'm not too hot on either of these sequels, both of the originals where fun, but seem somewhat self contained. As a result it's nice to see that Will Ferrell with his new found box office power, isn't afraid to exercise a little clout.
