Finally A Reason To Get Excited About Transformers 3: Alan Tudyk Cast![]()
Finally some good news on the Transformers 3 front. Paramount tells The Wrap that Alan Tudyk has joined the cast of Michael Bay’s sequel.
Tudyk is best known for not really being known nearly as well as he should be. He’s an amazing character actor who knocks pretty much every role he’s given, no matter how badly written, completely out of the park. You may have seen him most prominently featured in various Joss Whedon projects like Dollhouse or Serenity where he played Wash. More recently he showed up in the pilot of ABC’s “V” and he was in the original (and infinitely superior) Death at a Funeral. He was also Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball, a performance too awesome for words. Instead I’ll just say Arrr! No word yet on what part he’ll play in Transformers 3 but I hope they’re not wasting him on meager voice work. In a movie which recently announced the casting of Patrick Dempsey and Jamie Kennedy, they can use all the good actors they can squeeze in around them. Tudyk is a very, very good actor with a flair for comedy, the skills to pull off serious drama, and more sci-fi genre credibility in his pinky finger than Megan Fox has in her entire bra. |
