First Clip And Images From You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger
In just a few weeks we'll finally start hearing some buzz about You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, the new Woody Allen film that debuts out of competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival. What we know so far is pretty much nothing-- it was filmed in London, it stars Naomi Watts and Josh Brolin and a whole bunch of other people, and it involves Brolin as a writer character who has an affair. While most of the details are still pretty fuzzy, the French site AlloCine got a hold of a clip and six stills from the film-- not much, but it's a start.
The clip is a classic Allen walking-and-talking scene, in which a nervous Antonio Banderas (quite possibly the tall, dark stranger of the title) asks Naomi Watts, who is married, to join him at the opera. Even though the film is set in London, Watts is speaking with her native Australian accents, which adds an odd little wrinkle. The images almost all feature Watts, with Brolin and Anthony Hopkins and Allen himself; does that mean she's in fact the lead character?
Check out the clip and a handful of the images below (find the rest here), and stay tuned as Allen finally lets up on the reins keeping all the secrets about this movie.
