The first teaser poster for Live Free or Die Hard has popped up online, only it’s the international version. Still no domestic version for those of us in the United States, but when we get one let’s hope it looks like this.

The one sheet seems to be really going out of its way to sell the whole John McClane everyman angle. He’s back in all his cut, bruised, battered, and dirty glory. He looks he just walked out of a steel mill. Actually, seeing him this way is something of a relief after the teaser trailer we’ve been stuck with here in the United States. The trailer is so slick it’s almost hyper-real. There’s nothing gritty or everyman about it. It doesn’t feel at all like a Die Hard movie. The John McClane on this poster, that’s the one I remember.
