First Domestic Trailer For Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Biutiful![]()
Despite rave reviews coming out of this year's Cannes Film Festival, Javier Bardem winning the Best Actor award in the process, it took three months for Alejandro González Iñárritu's Biutiful to find a distributor. Fortunately, Roadside Attractions and Liddell Entertainment came to the rescue back in August and have prepped the film to go full steam into award season with a limited release on December 29th (the film has to be shown in LA during the calendar year in order to be eligible for the major awards at the Oscars. Now we have the first domestic trailer for the film courtesy of Apple.
Iñárritu's first full-length Spanish language film since Amores Perros in 2000, Bardem plays an underground figure and single dad who, fearing his own imminent death, tries to reconcile with a lost love. The whole thing sounds and looks incredibly bleak, but word around town is that it's quite powerful. Look for this one to get attention in not only the foreign language category, but possibly everywhere else. Check out the trailer below or in HD over at Apple. |
