First Domestic Trailer For Peter Weir's The Way Back![]()
Siberia is a pretty miserable place to get stuck walking. There's a reason why Russia sent it's prisoners there - the terrain is miserable, it's almost always stuck in the most of extreme temperatures and it's completely cut off from society. That said, it's also a wonderful place to try and escape from and that's exactly what the cast of The Way Back tries to do.
Yahoo! has premiered the first domestic trailer for the film, which is director Peter Weir's first movie since Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World seven years ago. Sporting an all star cast of Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Saoirse Ronan, Mark Strong, and Colin Farrell, the story documents a group of escaped prisoners as they escape the Gulag in 1940 and try and make their way across the USSR (food for thought: the country is 1.8 times larger than the United States). Needless to say, it's not exactly an easy trip. Check out the trailer for the new film - set for limited release on December 29th - and head over to Yahoo! to see it in HD. |
