First Footage From Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained Arrives Online
It's a good week to be a Quentin Tarantino fan. While we sadly still have to wait until Christmas before the director's latest, Django Unchained, will be hitting theaters, a couple weeks ago it was revealed that the first official trailer for the movie will be attached to Ridley Scott's Prometheus, which arrives stateside this Friday. What we don't know is when the trailer will be online for all of those who won't be going to the local cinema this week. For now, however, we do have some first-look footage.
Entertainment Tonight has posted a new video that shows off the first scenes from Django Unchained. While the awful celebrity show does everything thing in its power to ruin the clips by talking over them, there is a good deal of solid stuff shown, including a lot of Leonardo DiCaprio's evil plantation owner Calvin Candie. The film stars Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave who manages to escape his captors and teams up with a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Together they work to rescue Django's wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), and take vengeance against her evil owner, the aforementioned Calvin Candie. The film has a stunning line-up of supporting actors, including Samuel L. Jackson, James Remar, Don Johnson, Franco Nero, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern, M.C. Gainey, RZA, Tom Savini, Michael Bacall, Dennis Christopher, and Laura Cayouette. While you wait for the trailer to arrive online, you can see all the news and stills from Django Unchained in our Blend Film Database.
