First Image From The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

Is The Dark Knight Rises trailer playing at a movie theater somewhere in the UK? It certainly seems so. A few minutes ago a commenter began posting on Cinema Blend here in which he claimed to work at a movie theater in Cornwall, United Kingdom which had the trailer. They’d been given it to show in front of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 2, but apparently they operate like some sort of awesome pirate ship, because they said screw it and immediately started showing it on their screens in front of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

At first we were skeptical of these claims, but then he sent us this with a tweet:

[ IMAGE REMOVED BY WARNER BROS. ENTERTAINMENT ]

That’s either some of the most clever photoshopping I’ve ever seen, or it’s the very first image from The Dark Knight Rises trailer playing in a movie theater, somewhere in the United Kingdom. It matches up with the scooper description of the trailer posted earlier today, too. That rumor claimed the trailer started out with a shot of the Batman logo wreathed in blue flame, and yep, there it is.

So if you're in the United Kingdom, there's a good chance that if you head over to the Falmouth Cinema in Cornwall, UK the Dark Knight Rises trailer is playing there, right now.

For those of us who can't make it to Cornwall, our friend on the ground there also added this clearer description of what happens in the trailer. Stop reading if you don't want to know...
Gary Oldman voiceover, talking about how they needed him, then he had to disappear. Footage of Bruce Wayne walking up the mountain from Batman Begins, and surrounded by bats from Batman Begins. This is intercut with Gary Oldman looking like he is dying in a hospital bed, talking to what seems to be Bruce Wayne ion the foreground. Footage of the batpod driving away from the camera from TDK. Then it goes black, and Tom Hardy as Bane in his mask appears for a moment, then disappears. Logo in a crumbling skyline, as in the poster, then the film name, then a shot of a worn out Batman about to fight Bane in the foreground.
This all appears to be very real. It's possible this is some sort of massive hoax, and it's worth keeping in mind that none of this has been confirmed yet, but I'm willing to go with it for now.

Hopefully this also means Warner Bros. is about to release the full trailer online sooner than later. Keep your browsers locked in on Cinema Blend, we’ll have it for you as soon as it’s available.
