It's not often I get to cover a news story this important. It's the moment we've all been waiting for. The official logo for what will almost certainly be this year's best picture has been unveiled.

That's right, we've got the first artwork from Samuel L. Jackson's upcoming movie Snakes on a Plane. It's not quite a poster, but it's not exactly an iron on sticker either (though you could make a pretty cool one out of it). It's just vintage snakes on a plane.

In the process of releasing the film's great new logo, New Line marketing head Russell Schwartz also unveiled what could well be the movie's new tagline. Says Russell, "If the food doesn't kill you, they will". We'll look for that on the film's first official teaser poster, whenever you guys get around to it Russell.
