Adrien Brody first came to prominence as the lead in a heavy period drama about the holocaust. Now that he has more say in what sort of movies he does, Brody seems to have almost wholly dedicated his career to genre films. His next will be a science fiction horror movie called Splice.
It’s your basic science gone awry horror flick. Brody and Sarah Polley play scientists defying legal and ethical boundaries to splice human and animal DNA together. The creature they create forms a bond with them, and all seems well, until of course it turns deadly.
The first pic from the film has just shown up online courtesy of the guys over at the sci fi site Giant Freakin Robot. There’s a small version of it to your right, click over to GFR to see the whole thing.
