First Look At Angelina Jolie's Bosnian Love Story![]()
You’ve undoubtedly heard about Jolie’s worldwide humanitarian efforts and her involvement in the U.N. Yet despite her being a generally good person (except in the eyes of Jennifer Aniston), a Bosnian women’s group has protested the filming of Jolie’s directorial debut, a love story set in their native country.
Though the shoot has been trimmed down to just three or four days from the planned ten, that hasn’t slowed down production and The Playlist-- via some Hungarian sources-- has their first look at the as-yet-untitled piece. While this image is in color and gives us a brief yet telling look at what the color palette and feel of the film will be, there may not be a palette at all by the time the film comes out, according to Jolie: It’s shot in color but it could transfer to black and white. We haven`t decided that. I can show you… we put a series of pictures together in black and white and it was beautiful. But the important thing is I want to make sure that we make a film for people who just want to go to the movies to watch a love story. To not be put off by anything that seems too heavy. So we want to walk that fine line to make it accessible to everybody because it’s important for as many people to see it. Well, making it black and white immediately puts a gloom of heaviness over a movie, so the noir look may not be the right call, but damned if it wouldn’t look great. The movie doesn’t have a release date yet, but expect it sometime next year. For now, here’s your first look at Jolie’s directorial debut. ![]() |
