I grew up loyal to Optimus Prime, so I don’t have the nostalgic geek love a lot of other guys my age seem to have for G.I. Joe. That said, I think I’ve just discovered a pretty good reason to start caring about the upcoming movie version. Her name is Rachel Nichols and she’s playing a G.I. Joe character named Scarlett.
The first ever picture of Nichols in costume as Scarlett has just popped up online over at JoBlo. That’s a truncated version of it to your right, but you really need to click over there and see the whole thing to fully appreciate her… er… its magnificence.

Anuyway yeah, she looks great. I just hope not EVERY character is in that black padded suit outfit... although its better than the X-Men style all black-leather.
