First Look At Liev Schreiber As Wolverine's Sabretooth

We have our first ever look at Liev Schreiber in costume as Logan’s arche nemesis Sabretooth on the set of the upcoming spin-off movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I have to say, he looks better than I thought he would. Liev normally looks a little doughy to me, but here he’s totally ripped.

Now that I’ve said something positive, let’s talk about the negative. He looks nothing like Sabretooth. Instead, he looks like a dollar store version of Wolverine. Sabretooth is normally more animalistic. The way Tyler Mane looked as Sabretooth in X-Men, that was more the way I’ve always thought of the character. Granted this is a younger version, but you’d think they could have done better than simply photocopying Wolverine’s mutton chops onto Liev Schreiber’s head.

The first rumor I heard about this (obviously incorrect) was that Liev Schreiber was playing Logan/Wolverine, and I thought this was perfect. I imagined him really muscled and shaggy, and got all excited. I don't care how many times Hugh Jackman has played him. If you look at a picture of Logan's face from the comic and put a picture of Liev Schreiber next to it, you can see how alike they are. Liev's eyes are perfect. They are cut and have that primal look that you can see in Wolverine. The title character for the Origins movie needs to be placed perfectly, and Hugh Jackman just does not have the same intense look. It is a huge mistake. And yes, he is not the least bit ripped yet.

This is just sad....He needs to gain a good 50-75 lbs to play Victor Creed. This is laughable.....ripped my butt. He still looks flat... Creed should be both huge and truly ripped. Go pick up a copy of a bodybuilding mag that's Creed. Plus Creed doesn't have mutton chops he has a very unique facial hair! sorry but I am the biggest Sabretooth fan ever and I just caan't stand this sad set of affairs! I'm blond, over six feet, and weight over 250 ripped... I would be better than Liev :)

I have to agree 100% here, he does look nothing like Sabretooth... I mean, NOTHING. Sabretooth was tall and imposing, he had a wild look to him, with crazy hair, fangs and all. Plus the fact he looks like Logan, I say this- hes not Sabretooth... if you read Origins, Logan got his look from his fathers worker (whos sone he betrays), maybe Liev plays someone from Logans true origin. After all, the reason they did Origin in the first place was so that they could show it in a movie version. Maybe teeling us that he is Sabretooth is misdirection.
If Liev is Sabretooth, then Im disapointed, could we get a little characterization please?

Nevermind, I saw the pics on JustJared, and I saw the claws... its him... heres hoping this is a Vietnam flashback where hes still just Victor Creed and the modern day Sabretooth is more feral...
