First Look At Matt Damon In Green Zone![]()
Remember Courage Under Fire, the 1996 movie that was one of Matt Damon’s last roles before Good Will Hunting made him a major star? Well, if you’ve been anxious to see him in uniform again, but not quite so frail or so young, you’re in luck. The Matt Damon we all know (and some of us are, um, shtupping) is starring in Green Zone, and the first photos of him in costume are online.
The Bad And Ugly has the images, which were clearly taken by some enterprising photographer who wandered onto the set. They say the shoot is in central London, but it seems pretty clear that Damon’s character is supposed to be in the Middle East, given the uniform. The movie, directed by the Bourne movies director Paul Greengrass, is set in Iraq’s Green Zone, and is about life in Baghdad following the American invasion. I’ve gotta say that Damon is looking pretty great here, and seems to be solidly in his Bourne action hero mode. I’m not sure how much dodging explosions or anything like that he’ll have to do as a CIA agent in this movie, but at least he’s dressed for the task.
