First Look At New Spider-Man 3 Pic![]()
Even the most varied group of moviegoers can generally agree on one thing: we’re all excited about Spider-Man 3, swinging into theaters on May 4, 2007. Spider-Man 2 is one of the rare sequels that improved upon the first installment (which itself was good), and the third seems to have plenty more where that came from.
To add to our excitement, USA Today has a new promo pic for the third movie, showing Spider-Man exposing his now trademark grey logo on his chest. The guys from Spider-Man 3 are currently at Comic-Con in San Diego, but not all news is positive. It looks like a 4th movie may be as dead as Peter Parker's uncle. "We've done an amazing job at keeping things fresh," Maguire told USA Today. "[but] it's hard to imagine continuously coming up with stories that deserve to be told. I'm not sure if there are more stories for this character that are interesting enough to be excited about doing more." The film’s distributor, Sony Pictures, isn’t saying anything to confirm or deny Spidey 4's status. Spider-Man producer Laura Ziskin adds, "We don't have a book we're adapting, like a Lord of the Rings. It's open-ended. But this could be the last. We've never started on the next movie while we were working on the current one." Whether the fate of Spider-Man will be laid to rest after the third movie remains a mystery, but in the meantime, enjoy the new promo pic and live vicariously through the geeks who are currently at Comic-Con, while we're all stuck at home just reading about it. |
