First Look At The Trailer For Steven Soderbergh's Contagion

There are truly no films that the yahoos at Entertainment Tonight aren't willing to ruin by yammering over them. Just a few days ago we got our first look at Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows via irritating ET preview (an real trailer showed up not long after, thank god). Now Steven Soderbergh's new film Contagion is the latest to suffer the cruel fate, which honestly seems worse to me than a bootlegged theater version of a trailer going online early. As you can see in the clip below, Entertainment Tonight will be debuting the trailer tonight, and last night they showed off a little bit of footage and listed the pretty amazing cast to prove they've got the goods. Take a look below.

What's hilarious is when I watched this the first time, clearly not paying enough attention, I watched that full hospital scene and thought, "Huh, that's interesting, they have Matt Damon married to Tilda Swinton." Of course, Tilda Swinton isn't in this movie-- that's Gwyneth Paltrow, looking mighty freaked out in her hospital bed, and just one huge name in a cast that also includes Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne. Soderbergh will be at Comic Con next week, but sadly not promoting Contagion-- he's also got the action film Haywire, which seems much more suited to the Comic Con crowd. But with the full trailer for Contagion apparently showing up on Entertainment Tonight soon-- and presumably a better version coming online not long after that-- we ought to be learning more soon about what thus far has just been "Steven Soderbergh's Outbreak."

Hopefully some official artwork and the actual version of this trailer won't be a long time coming, since I'll admit, this is the upcoming Soderbergh project I'm really and truly dying to see.
