First Look At Zack Snyder's Owl Movie, Legend Of The Guardians
Yesterday we told you about the unfortunate retitling of Gurdians of Gha’Hoole, which has now been given the Ga’Lame title of Legend of the Guardians. Having an awful title though, doesn’t mean the movie will be lame. Being about owls on the other hand... I mean it's owls. Shouldn't they be relegated to sidekick characters, occasional mentors, or mailmen in Harry Potter movies? It is a Zack Snyder movie though, so maybe they're battle-owls. Vicious, bloodthirsty battle-owls.
There is some evidence to support this notion of killer hooters. USA Today has a first look at images from the movie, and I think i spy owl-sized battle armor. It’s the first we’ve seen of what Zack Snyder is up to with animated adaptation of the popular children’s novel. Normally I’d recommend clicking over to USA Today to see them all, but in this case I have to warn you: If you do you’ll be forced to sit through an auto-playing take-over ad with extremely loud sound which you can’t turn off. It’s not a fun experience.
So just in case you don’t want to suffer through that, I’ve dropped the images below. Instead, click over to this much safer USA Today page in which there are no photos but Zack Snyder answers questions about the movie.

Zack Snyder makes his animation debut with the fantasy family adventure Guardians of Ga’Hoole, based on the beloved books by Kathryn Lasky. The film follows Soren, a young owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, his older brother, Kludd, scoffs at the notion, and yearns to hunt, fly and steal his father’s favor from his younger sibling. But Kludd’s jealousy has terrible consequences—causing both owlets to fall from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones. Now it is up to Soren to make a daring escape with the help of other brave young owls. Together they soar across the sea and through the mist to find the Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians of Ga’Hoole—Soren’s only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdoms.
