First Look At Clint Eastwood And Amy Adams In Trouble With The Curve
It's been a long time since Clint Eastwood has acted under the direction of someone other than himself. While he gave himself roles in movies like Space Cowboys, Million Dollar Baby and Grand Torino, the last time he worked with someone else as an actor was all the way back in 1993, with Wolfgang Petersen on In The Line of Fire. That streak is coming to an end. Later this year Eastwood is set to appear alongside Amy Adams in the baseball drama Trouble With The Curve, which is being directed with the filmmaker's producing partner, Robert Lorenz. And today we get our first glimpse at what the film looks like.
EW has premiered the first still from the movie, and while it's not an incredibly exciting shot, it does fit with the film's theme as a father-daughter bonding tale. Check out the image below and see it full size over at its source.
Based on an original screenplay by Randy Brown, Trouble With The Curve stars Eastwood as an aging baseball scout who is slowly starting to lose his eyesight. Deciding to give up the game for good, he decides to take one last road trip down to Atlanta with his daughter to check out a promising prospect. The film has a supporting cast that includes Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, Robert Patrick and Matthew Lillard. It will hit cinemas on September 28th and you can read more about it in our Blend Film Database.
