First Look! Megan Fox and Mickey Rourke in Passion Play
Apparently Megan Fox, at the ripe young age of 23, has a thing for older dudes. She's been with Brian Austin Green (SQUEEL!) for years, he's 36; she'll be starring as Josh Brolin's love interest in Jonah Hex, he's 42 in a couple days; and now we're getting our first look at Megan with her latest bit of aging arm candy, the reborn albeit sort of melty-looking Mickey Rourke.
The two are starring opposite each other in Mitch Glazer's Passion Play, in which Rourke plays a down and out trumpet player who meets an angel, or some deformed human with wings, and they lift each other out of their own problematic circumstances. The only thing differentiating this from The Wrestler seems to be Bill Murray, who stepped in at the final hour to play a ruthless gangster named Happy Shannon. Knowing Bill Murray, this should be really interesting. Rourke recently gave an interview to EW, dropping a few plot details, and talking up Megan Fox more in one paragraph than any Internet personality ever has in her history as an actress. This is Mitch Glazer's first outing as a director, but his writing career birthed one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time, Scrooged, which possibly inspired the casting of Bill Murray. EW also attached this nice picture of the two leads who contrary to popular belief are not playing siamese twins attached at the forehead, though something tells me Rourke wouldn't mind. Scope out the image below. ![]() |
