First Look At Sundance Hit Sound Of My Voice, Starring Brit Marling
At last year's Sundance Film Festival there were two indie queens that emerged. The first was Elizabeth Olsen, who amazed critics with performances in Martha Marcy May Marlene (which came out last year) and Silent House (which comes out next month). The other was Brit Marling, who also had two films featured at the Utah festival. Audiences had their first chance to learn about Marling last summer when Another Earth was given a limited release, but now her next feature, Sound of My Voice, is coming down the pipe and Apple has our first look at the film - the first two minutes to be exact.
It should be noted that the end of the video directs you to the film's official website where you can see more from the movie. Check it out HERE. Due out in April, Sound of my Voice follows a journalist (Christopher Denham) and his girlfriend (Nicole Vicius) who decide to make a documentary about a cult leader named Maggie (Marling), who claims to be from the future. But as the couple digs further and further into the group, they begin to question the job that they started as they learn more and more about the mysterious leader. The film was co-written and directed by Zal Batmanglij and will arrive in theaters on April 27th from Fox Searchlight. |
