The guys over at JoBlo have scored a teeny, tiny, low-resolution look at what they say will be the first teaser poster for Avatar. Normally in this situation I’d post a low res version of it here, and then you suggest you click over to them to see a bigger, clearer version but since it’s not possible for their version to be any less low res, I guess I’ll just sort of twiddle my thumbs a bit and recommend you see the poster here.

If you clicked the above link you’ll quickly realize something: It’s the most generic sci-fi teaser poster ever. The planet hanging in space poster has been done to death on everything from War of the Worlds to Transformers. I’m actually kind of disappointed. You’d expect more from Cameron’s magnum opus.

The good thing is that this poster is more than meets the eye. Apparently if you see it in person, it has a weird 3-D effect going for it, perhaps using the awesome 3-D poster video technology we told you about several months ago here?
