The thriller The Perfect Getaway was delayed from a March to an August 14 release date, for various studio reasons that had nothing to do with the movie's quality or its director or anything. The shift turned out to be a huge blessing in disguise, now that the movie's fourth or fifth-billed actor, Chris Hemsworth, has suddenly become a Huge Deal with his role in Star Trek and casting as the lead in Thor.

So now the movie will be hitting us in late summer, and Quebec film site Cinoche.com has come across the movie's first poster, which plays off some of the visual style seen in the movie's trailer (which you can watch below). Head to Cinoche for a larger version of the image you see above. It's a nice looking poster that definitely gets across the notion that these three couples will be duking it out for survival, though I have to say it doesn't do that much to distinguish itself from other more generic thrillers. Hopefully an ongoing promotional campaign will be able to help remedy that.
