The first seven minutes of Simon Hunter’s upcoming sci-fi/action flick The Mutant Chronicles have popped up online, and we’ve got them for you below. The movie stars Thomas Jane in the story of a 23rd century soldier fighting an army of mutants in a post-apocalyptic world.

I get what they’re going for here, the movie looks like it’s a leftover from the 70s. It also looks like Terminator droppings. Terminator was cool twenty years ago, but now it just feels low budget and cheap. Which I guess it is. Worse, some of those mutants look an awful lot like Orcs. Did WETA have some leftover Orc masks they sold off when Lord of the Rings was over?
