First Trailer For Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close Will Bring A Tear To Your Eye
Working with child actors in central roles can be a major gamble. While you could end up with a revelation like the Coen brothers did when they cast Hailee Steinfeld as Mattie Ross in True Grit, the other side of that coin is Jake Lloyd in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Enter Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Star Thomas Horn will be making his acting debut in the movie after gaining notoriety for winning on Jeopardy. But how will he do? The first trailer for the film suggests that he'll be just fine.
Check out the preview below or in HD over on Apple. Directed by Stephen Daldry and based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is about a young boy named Oskar Schell who loses his father (Tom Hanks) during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Searching around his home, he finds a mysterious key that belonged to his dad and goes on a quest to find out what it unlocks. The film also stars Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Max von Sydow, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright, and James Gandolfini. To go along with the trailer, Apple has also posted the film's first poster:
The film arrives in theaters on December 25th. For more about the movie be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database. |
