I’ve been waiting to see something concrete from Danny Boyle’s next movie Sunshine for months now. Everything I’ve seen and read it about it has made the whole thing look incredibly cool, and then there’s Boyle who’s proven he knows a thing or two about making great genre films. With 28 Days Later he re-energized the zombie genre, with Sunshine maybe he can breathe new life into the outer space/horror/thriller.
Now the first trailer for the film is here, and it looks simply incredible. I’d worried that it might be a clone of lesser movies like Supernova and Event Horizon, but instead it looks more like a beautiful blending of Alien, 2001, and The Black Hole.
