First Trailer For Hesher Shows Off Joseph Gordon-Levitt In A New Light image
UPDATE: Director Spencer Susser has gotten in touch with our friends at Gordon and the Whale to say this isn't the official trailer, but "created by the foreign sales representatives of the film for the specific intent of explaining the film to people in foreign, often non-English-speaking markets." Susser says it "doesn’t accurately present the tone of the film or the character of Hesher." So keep that in mind while you watch the trailer below, or skip it entirely and wait for a real one to show up online very soon.

There are few actors right now more captivating than Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Whether you've only recently become interested in him thanks to Inception or have been watching him become a rising star since 2004's Mysterious Skin, one project that has been the subject of much discussion has been Hesher. Premiering at last year's Sundance Film Festival, the film sees Gordon-Levitt become a long-haired, nihilistic burnout with an appetite for destruction. Up until now very little has been seen from the film, but today is different. Today we get a trailer.

YouTube user Dazzazzad has uploaded the first full trailer for Hesher, directed by Spencer Susser, which also stars Rainn Wilson, Natalie Portman, Piper Laurie and Devin Brochu. In the movie Brochu stars as T.J., a young kid lost after his mother is killed in a car accident. One day while riding to school, however, he encounters a strange man named Hesher who turns his entire world upside down.

Check out the trailer below as well as a clip from the film that features Gordon-Levitt protecting Natalie Portman from an asshole.
