It's been a surprisingly long time since we've seen a movie directed by Bryan Singer. While the Usual Suspects filmmaker served as a producer X-Men: First Class, the last time he was behind the camera for a film was 2008's Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise. Finally breaking that streak is Jack The Giant Killer, Singer's newest movie based on the classic fairytale. The movie isn't due out until next summer, but today we get our first look.

Check out the trailer for the new Bryan Singer film below and in HD over on Apple.

Starring Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson, and Ewan McGregor, the film's plot centers around a farmhand named Jack (Hoult) who accidentally bridges the gap between our world and the world of the giants. When the mythical creatures come to claim the land that they once owned and kidnap the beautiful princess, it's up to Jack to lead the human forces into battle and defend their world. Jack the Giant Killer is based on a script by Mark Bomback, David Dobkin, Darren Lemke, Christopher McQuarrie, and Dan Studney and will arrive in theaters on June 15, 2012.
