Five Star Day Gets A Twilighter![]()
Five Star Day is getting two hot young actors. According to HR, Cam Gigandet (Twilight) and Jena Malone (The Ruins, Donnie Darko) will team up in this indie drama as a couple.
Gigandet’s character is a man who loses everything and must take a journey of self-discovery. By his side throughout this quest is a girlfriend (Malone) and his wise best friend who’ll be played by Will Yun Lee (Bionic Woman). Sounds very typical in terms of a youth drama, so it’ll be exciting to get a better sense of the film’s potential as more of the plot is revealed. Malone's a known quantity, but it's not until the release of Twilight on the 21st, that we’ll get to see what Gigandet is capable of, beyond his role in Never Back Down. All three stars have a lot on their schedule. Gigandet, of course, has Twilight followed by the horror flick The Unborn and the sci-fi adventure Pandorum in which he stars alongside Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid. Speaking of Ben Foster, Jena Malone is also costarring in a film with him called The Messenger about a soldier who becomes involved with the widow of another officer. On Yun Lee’s plate is King of Fighters, an indie feature based on the video game. |
